EU terminates countervailing investigation

According to China Trade Relief Information Network, on July 20,2022, the European Commission issued a notice that the EU decided to terminate the anti-subsidy investigation of Graphite Electrode Systems originating in China in response to the application for revocation of the investigation submitted by the applicant on May 9,2022. The measures will take effect from the day after the announcement.
On February 17,2021, the European Commission issued a notice saying that in response to the application of Graphite Cova GmbH, Showa Denko Carbon Holding GmbH and Tokai Erft Carbon GmbH on January 4,2021, the European Commission conducted an anti-dumping investigation on graphite electrode systems originating in China. On April 6,2022, the European Commission officially imposed an anti-dumping tax on China 's graphite electrode system, with a tax rate of 23.0 % to 74.9 %.
